Attaching a basketball backboard to a separate pole?
i saved a nearly new basketball hoop pole that went with a 44″ backboard. the backboard cracked and the base is damaged. i recently bought a 48″ backboard only. can i attach it to the original pole meant for a 44″ board? what hardware would i need?

Basketball Backboard - Can i mount an aluminum basketball backboard onto a brick wall?

No problem at all. You will need a masonry drill bit and concrete anchors. What it is basically is a lead insert that you will put in the hole you drilled. The lead insert has a hole in the center that you can use to put your bolts into. Use flush mount phillips head 1/4 inch bolts… Be sure and get the correct length. Check out your local home depot or lowes… Its simple and anyone can do it.

You can find replacement backboards. Search google for replacement basketball backboard.
Also, you could simply make one yourself. In high school I made my own from basic materials at the lumber yard.
